NV 5 – NV 6 Part-turn actuator

The NV 5 – NV 6 series was created from the N5 – N6 series. The primary objective was to fulfil a customer requirement for an actuator with integrated position sensing directly on the output shaft. A spacer ring created sufficient space to fit a potentiometer or an absolute encoder using Hall effect sensing technology. Our solution means it is now possible to use a TÜV-approved potentiometer for ratio control systems to DIN EN 12067-2 with this part-turn actuator.

In order to satisfy customer demands for a longer service life for the ratio control systems, the rated torque was reduced and the bearings in the intermediate gearbox strengthened. These measures considerably increase service life.

Output shaft NV 5

  • Diameter 20 mm with feather key
  • Options:
    • Diameter 20 mm with 8 mm diameter cross-hole
    • Output shaft with square socket WAF 17 mm (F07 DIN ISO 5211)
    • Other output shafts on request

Output shaft NV 6

  • Diameter 25 mm with feather key
  • Options:
    • Diameter 25 mm with 10 mm diameter cross-hole
    • Output shaft with square socket WAF 17 mm (F07 DIN ISO 5211)
    • Other output shafts on request

Electrical connection

  • Connection terminals positioned centrally close to cable entry
  • Screw-type terminals
  • Two free slots to retrofit additional auxiliary position switches
  • Retrofitting of extensions possible without any problems through additional PCB terminals

Controller

  • Open/close signal
  • Options:
    • Additional potential-free contacts
    • Electronic position controller ESR-N (integrated in the actuator or external)
    • Potentiometer 200Ω … 10 kΩ

Ambient temperature

  • -15 °C to +60 °C
  • 0 °C to +60 °C when an electronic position controller ESR-N is used
  • Options:
    • Up to +80 °C, duty cycle S3-50%
    • Down to -40 °C
